Shawn Turung, proprietor, initially began working as a decorative artist in Chicago, IL, acquiring skills in traditional architectural finishes, guilding, fresco and Venetian plastering.
She relocated to Houston, TX in 1991 establishing Local Color as a decorative arts business and remained general partner until 2001.
Local Color expanded its decorative arts base to include furniture design, consultation and art restoration.
In 2001, Shawn reorganized and established Spaces as a decorative arts and consultation entity serving the residential and commercial industry of northern New Mexico.
